Baldeep brings to Kirusa extensive experience in raising capital, mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, improving profitability, and private placements.
In her previous position, she was Vice President and global head of finance for MarketRx, a product enabled services company providing sales and marketing solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. She led the initiative for its acquisition by Cognizant Technologies. In the early stages of the company, she completed a $10mm Series C round of funding from top tier venture capital firms, well known industry figures and high net worth individuals.
Prior to MarketRx, Baldeep led financial initiatives at Mformation, a provider of wireless device management software. She saw the company through two rounds of funding that raised $22mm in venture capital. Before that, at Savera Systems, a provider of web-based solutions for Telecom billing, she managed the finance and business development activities. In her earlier years, at the Unit Trust of India, the largest Mutual fund in India, she held various senior level positions (as head of the trading desk in North India, head of institutional marketing, North India and fund manager). As a director on the boards of portfolio companies, she played a significant role in improving the performance of those companies.
Baldeep holds an MBA degree from Faculty of Management Studies, a premier business school in India, and has attended a program for senior executives at the Manchester Business School, UK. She has been selected by EWNJ (Executive Women of New Jersey) for the prestigious 'Salute to Policy Makers Award' 2007. In 2005 she was conferred with the 'CFO of the Year Award' by NJTC (New Jersey Technology Council).
