Kirusa partners with Microimage Mobile Media to enrich Voice SMS

Enhances Voice SMS usage with user friendly access and multilingual notification

New Providence, New Jersey and Colombo, Sri Lanka; Tuesday, September 16, 2008: Kirusa, the world’s leading vendor of Voice SMS and a leading developer of value-added mobile services, today announced a partnership with Microimage Mobile Media, a recognized mobile & media technology provider, and the availability of a java client for Voice SMS, enabling mobile users to send Voice SMS messages using their local phone address book. The java client is available today in English, and will be made available in other languages shortly, so that users can receive messages in the language of their choice.

MMM’s Java client is available in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Sinhalese, Thaana and many more languages, that allows people to send and receive messages in their own language. With this partnership, Kirusa and Microimage Mobile Media will work to integrate the java client with the Kirusa Voice SMS solution, to support sending and receiving of Voice SMS messages from within the client.

Subscribers will no longer have to memorize and type the phone number of the recipient for sending a Voice SMS. They will be able to select the recipient’s name from the phone’s address book. In addition, recipients will be able to receive Voice SMS notification in the language of their choice. Further, the notifications can be in different colors, emoticons and background themes.
